Liz is married to Steve and has lived in Christchurch since 1976. She has two grown up, married children.
Liz is a retired nurse having worked in the NHS for 43 years, including her training which was at Poole Hospital. She then worked at Poole, Christchurch and Bournemouth Hospitals, before moving to Salisbury District Hospital to work as an orthopaedic Ward Sister. More recently she was a Tissue Viability Specialist Nurse at Salisbury before retiring in 2014.
Liz has attended church since childhood, initially in Broadstone where she grew up, and more latterly at Twynham Church where she says her faith came to life. With the support and friendship of Doug & Sue Barnett, Liz and then Steve, were baptised in 1990/1, and haven’t looked back since (at least not too often!). Doug & Sue always used to say that Steve & Liz (both ex marathoners!) introduced them to running, and they introduced them to the Lord Jesus! A good deal on both sides!!
Both Steve & Liz have remained committed to the church family at Twynham, and have served and continue to serve in various roles in the life of the church.
