Twynham Alpha in the Loft Café gives everyone the opportunity to explore the Christian faith, ask honest questions, and share their perspective in a friendly, open environment—no matter where they are on their journey.
Our upcoming Alpha Courses are a relaxed, welcoming spaces designed for conversation, curiosity, and connection.
What Is Alpha?
Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that create space to talk about life’s big questions. Alpha runs all over the world in cafés, churches, homes, universities even prisons—you name it. Every Alpha looks a little different, but they all include three key elements:
☕ 1. Coffee, Tea & Cake
Good conversations often start with good food. Each session begins with something tasty and a chance to connect with others. Whether you’re chatting with new friends or catching up over cake, this is all about building community.
🎥 2. A Thought‑Provoking Talk
Each week features a video, approximately 30‑minute long, exploring a key topic about the Christian faith—including questions like Who is Jesus?, How can we have faith?, Why and how do I pray?, or How does God guide us?
The talks are designed to spark ideas, encourage reflection, and open up conversation.
💬 3. Honest, Open Discussion
This is the heart of Alpha. A small‑group discussion where you can share your thoughts—or simply listen. There’s no pressure, no wrong questions, and nothing you can’t say. It’s a safe and welcoming space to explore together.
