Lucy grew up locally in Christchurch and was homeschooled after having a year in reception at Burton Primary School. She then attended Bournemouth and Poole College studying a BTEC Level 3 in Hospitality and Catering.
Growing up Lucy always had a desire to do overseas missions and decided to do a Discipleship Training School (DTS) with Youth with a Mission (YWAM). After completing the DTS, she continued to work within YWAM for the next 4 years based at YWAM Holmsted Manor in West Sussex.
Throughout her time in YWAM she carried out various roles including co-leading the kitchen, managing the bookings for a retreat centre located on site, being part of a team that runs a summer youth outreach camp and more. Lucy also had the opportunity to co-lead outreach teams of young people to Europe and South East Asia.
Lucy’s desire to work with children and young people grew over the years and she decided to do a 5 month course with YWAM in Hong Kong called, Principles for Children, Youth and Family Ministry.
Lucy joined the staff team at Twynham in January 2022
