Twynham Community Link Project (The Link Project)
Building Space for Health, Wellbeing and Community
The Link Project is a bold investment in the future of our church and local community. Its purpose is simple but powerful: to create welcoming, modern spaces where people of all ages can thrive physically, emotionally and spiritually.
What We’ve Already Achieved – Phase 1 (Completed ✅)
Phase 1 of The Link Project is now complete and fully operational.
In September 2025, we successfully replaced the outdated and poorly insulated Twynham Youth Centre (originally built in the 1950s) with a modern, fully insulated, full‑height multipurpose sports and activities venue. This new Health & Wellbeing Annexe provides:
- A large, flexible sports, activities and community hall
- A high‑quality sports floor with configurable sports equipment
- Storage cupboards for ease of use
- A welcoming space suitable for sport, community activities, music, Pilates, dance and more
The building is already in regular weekly use by a wide range of groups, making a positive and tangible impact in the community.
We are delighted with what has been achieved so far.
What’s Next – Phase 2 (Now Fundraising 💚)
With Phase 1 complete, we are now raising funds for Phase 2, the next vital step in The Link Project.
Phase 2 will deliver an adjacent two‑storey suite of rooms and offices, designed to support both church ministry and wider community use. Plans include:
- Dedicated rooms for staff and volunteers
- A prayer room
- Counselling rooms
- Training and meeting spaces
- Additional toilets and a kitchen
- Improved access to other areas of the church, including
- The Lounge
- The Sports Hall
- The Loft Café
These facilities will significantly expand what we can offer, enabling deeper support, greater connection, and more opportunities to serve our local area.
Our Vision
Together, Phase 1 and Phase 2 will create a connected hub that supports:
- Health and wellbeing
- Community engagement
- Pastoral care and counselling
- Training, development, and fellowship
This is about building for today and investing in tomorrow.
