The vision is to build high quality, multipurpose facilities with a view to significantly increasing our engagement with the community through the provision of facilities, space, activities and friendship, and enable ongoing growth in the church.
These include:
- Sports, social & community events
- Supporting the next generation – children, youth and families
- Supporting mental and physical wellbeing for all ages.
- Marriage and parenting support
- Supporting and providing services for the elderly and their carers; providing friendship and caring; reducing social isolation.
- Supporting those who are disadvantaged such as those on low income, or with social needs with friendship, courses and practical help
Providing support in the field of mental health including stress and anxiety management, and appropriate activities and groups.
We are looking at undertaking this project in two halves:
Phase 1:
Building a new multipurpose hall. This involves removing the old youth centre now not fit for purpose and replacing it with a new hall large enough for sports and warm enough for meeting, creative arts work with the elderly and fitness.
Phase 2:
Building a new administration and meeting rooms block with additional access to a community café. This will house the administration of both the church and Link Project plus give quieter smaller spaces for meetings, counselling, crisis, training and much more.
